Call for Art: The Theresa Show Fiber Arts Exhibit - United South End Settlements

CALL FOR ART

Eligibility: All work in the exhibition will be part of the auction. Artists will receive 50% of the sale price unless they choose to contribute the full amount of the sale to the auction.

The range of materials and subject matter are open. Submissions may include surface design, woven, quilts, stitching, or any other contemporary art fiber technique. 3D work will not be accepted.Work must have been completed in 2012 or after. Maximum size is 72"h by 40"w.

Jurors are

Janet Kawada, Faculty in the Fine Arts Fibers Department of Massachusetts College of Art and Design
Beverly Arsem, noted fiber artist, chamber music

Submission Guidelines:

Submissions must be on cd. Slides and photographs will not be accepted.
Entry may include up to three pieces
Images should be JPEG files of 300DPI resolution and no larger than 5"x7" in image size
Each file should be labeled in the following LastName_EntryNumber_Title

One detail image is allowed per entry.

Artists' names or signatures are allowed on images.
The submission fee is $25, payable to United South End Artists, the fiscal agent.

Notification of acceptance....12.11.14

Drop off artwork.....12.16.14 & 12.18.14 | 4:00 - 5:30 pm.

Opening Reception...1.7.15 | 6 - 8 pm

Exhibition Ends....2.13.15

Pick up of unsold work....2.24.15 & 2.26.15 | 4:00 - 5:30 pm.

Delivery and Return: All artwork must be presentable and ready to hang with labels secured to the back. Artwork will be returned in the same condition it arrived and ready for pick up on dates indicated above.

Liability: USES is seriously committed to handling artwork with care, however in the event of an accident, USES is not responsible for any lost and/or damaged artwork while on the premises.
